In celebrating the founding of our nation this weekend, I find that my thoughts are consumed with gratitude for the sacrifices made by not only past, but contemporary military families.
My friend Andrea and her children are currently suffering through the hardship of yet another deployment of her husband, Daniel. I am so incredibly thankful that not only is he courageously fighting to protect the independence that we all enjoy here in the United States, but that he is intrepid enough to leave his wife and three precious children behind in order to do so.
And as for spouses like Andrea, I can not begin to fathom what she endures in moving/working/parenting alone...facing life without her cherished husband during this difficult time so that I can feel secure sleeping beside mine each night.
This Fourth of July, I would like to acknowledge and thank you, and families like yours, for all that you must abjure in order to protect and preserve the freedoms and security of our nation.

Daniel sacrifices it all because he truly believes in what he is fighting for. Thank God for all the courageous and faithful military members, past and present!

I wholeheartedly agree! I don't think we should ever take the sacrifices of the military and their families for granted! Nor should we ever take our freedom for granted.
BTW, thank you. Yes, my dad was a very sweet man. I miss him so much.
Thanks for your visit. You have a nice site. I like it.
That was just beautiful...SO TRUE!
They ALL are just amazing people...:)

This is a beautiful post! We truly owe so much for those who serve (and have served) in our military. Their whole families deserve our thanks!!
