Try It Out Tuesday - Maranatha Organic Peanut Butter

I’m a peanut butter loving girl. I can’t get enough of it! I love it on bread, celery, bananas, crackers, pretzel rods, and especially on a spoon, dipped in chocolate chips.

I was raised by a “Choosy Mom,” and would therefore only tolerate one brand of peanut butter. Ever.

Until I switched to an organic lifestyle. Suddenly, the old standby had to be replaced, and fast!

I was delighted to come across Maranatha Organic Peanut Butter. There are no hydrogenated oils or trans fats involved. It is vegan, and gluten free! Sounds great, right? The real kicker for me is that it’s made with out sugar and is low in sodium.

The variety I use requires stirring, but it doesn’t really bother me. It spreads easily, and tastes thick and rich. Because its sugar free, the taste is bold and luxuriant, with a pure, savory quality.

Now that I’ve made the change, even the smell of my old favorite practically sends me in to a sugar coma.

I wonder if our local grocery store carries that brand. We love peanut butter, too!

Costco has an organic peanut butter that is also good! I love PBJ....mmmmmm so good! Cannot even think of buying the "other" PB with all of that long named stuff in it!

My husband eats this gross stuff called better than peanut butter-I think it tastes like coffee gone bad Our Krogers has an organic department, I'll look for it!

My husband won't eat anything but Jif. No Skippy, no Adam's, no generic.
That one sounds deLISH, though.

Oh.. I'll have to look into this. I was just in our Earth Fare store today too stocking up on organic snacks for my girls. I'll go back and look to see if they have this. I love peanuts soooo much too, but try to stay away from peanut butter because of the fat. But if this is no Trans Fat, I'll definitely be sold.

We've tried that brand before and it tastes great! I don't mind the stirring as long as it's organic. :)

I agree this is the grandest peanut butter since Jif. I have the pickiest 6-year-old who lives on pbj. I've tried them all and he loves this one!

You know, I have never tried that brand of organic peanut butter. I buy Costco's organic pb. It is pretty good and cheap too.

I am going to see if the Commissary will start carrying organic peanut butter, perhaps I will request this brand since it sounds so awesome!
