My girls have extremely sensitive skin. They have the type of skin that will bruise if the wind blows on them too forcefully, or will break out in a rash if an artificial fragrance wafts in their general direction. Naturally, I’m highly suspicious of the traditional leading baby wash (ahem!) so my search for something gentle, organic, free of harsh chemicals and flower scents created in a laboratory, led me to California Baby, and their Super Sensitive Shampoo & Bodywash. I’m all about the all-over baby washes, as it removes steps from the bathtime routine, and automatically means I have to buy less stuff. Always a plus.
The bodywash literally smells like nothing. Some unscented products have this weird “gooey” smell, but there is absolutely no scent whatsoever. I find this comforting, as it means there really isn’t anything harmful in there. It has the same viscosity as the leading baby bath product, so the fact that it’s organic yet has an air of normalcy means that it is most definitely a step up.
The girls have reacted wonderfully, which is to say that I washed them with it and nothing happened. Not so much as a slight blush to their skin, reddening of the eye, or itchiness of the scalp in reaction. They smelled like nice clean babies, and I knew that there was nothing harmful entering their little systems.
According to the California baby website, this particular bodywash is safe for, and helpful to adults with psoriasis or eczema as well. So I don’t have to feel weird about borrowing a squirt when my own bodywash is running low...
The company also gets major bonus points for being cruelty free!
So in short, I’m a huge fan! I would recommend this product to anyone with kids, or really, anyone with skin problems. Two squeaky clean “bums up!”
On Tuesdays, I will be offering my readers reviews of "green" products I've discovered that will help should anyone decide to take steps toward adopting a green lifestyle. As I have no sponsors, you can rest assured that my reviews are honest and unbiased.

hmmm, I may have to try that out since I have sensitive skin as does my 2 year old. Where do you find it?
Thanks for the comment. I think I am going have to this product. I don't have babies anymore but I do have a daughter very sensitive skin.
Ah, I love California Baby sensitive wash too! I just wish it was't so expensive and that the refill containers were actually a good deal! Right now you can only order them online and they are not less expensive than buying the full bottles.
I've never heard of this and will have to give it a try. Thanks for letting us know about it.
I may have to try that if I can find it...my son has eczema issues so I only use fragrance free products on him. Thanks for the tip.
Also - thanks for the compliment on my little guy's new room! It was a lot of fun to do. :)
Cool! Thanks for the "green" reviews. I am looking for more ways to incorporate it into my own family. :)
I have never tried this brand, though I have seen it plenty. A bit expensive but I do think it would be well worth it.
I use the brand "Rainbow" and love it. We have used it since Eve was born as it is so gentle on all of our skin. Plus, they have other products such as hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, and hair detangler that fit in great with daily life :)

I just recently sampled some of this myself. :) I'll say I don't love it on my own long hair, but it is great for the little ones. :) I haven't tried it as a body wash for myself yet.
I'd like to try Cocoon Organic Baby Body and Hair wash next. :)
We love California Babies - the bubble bath is great, too. I really like that I can pick it up in Target to save on shipping costs.
